We'll miss you, Pop.

The dead they sleep...

The dead they sleep a long, long sleep;
The dead they rest, and their rest is deep;
The dead have peace, but the living weep.
~Samuel Hoffenstein

Pop made his choice. I am grieving, but I am comforted to know that he is no longer suffering.

Our thoughts are with you...while it is still very upsetting, 'Pop' chose his own way out and, yes, he is not suffering.

Thank you all for your condolences on the loss of my granddad. My parents are flying to California on Monday to deal with the necessary arrangements. I will be staying behind to help look after their house and their pets.

Jenn,
Your post was a very touching verse. You sound proud of your Pop and I think I understand why. sometimes, in death, you can see such courage.
