Doing the slow burn

I can't even begin to explain my frustration with my insurance company. If I try, I'll just turn red in the face and begin sputtering and spitting and shaking my fists. So instead, I'll look at puppies courtesy of Aviva. When my current policy is up for renewal, you can bet I'll be turning to Aviva for a quote.

Ahh, puppies.

We also have Aviva for our house insurance! We haven't had to sue them yet, is there something we should know???????

My apologies, Amelia, my original post was misleading. We don't use Aviva yet, but we'll consider switching to them if my current insurance provider doesn't become more cooperative. In the meantime, I'll continue to look at pictures of my new niece and of puppies to calm myself whenever I get too riled up about my current insurance provider.

Has no one noticed that the puppies look like they're in a microwave? Maybe Aviva is really sending you a subliminal message?

Living in a neighborhood of 50 year old houses, we went through a period in the mid 90's where all of the major companies decided to "red-line" us. First State Farm, who we'd had for years and also had our car insurance, then a series of others. I went through 4 in 5 years.

Finally one of them, going by address, red-lined the Mayor's new $150,000 house built in one of these older neighborhoods. She went to the state insurance commissioner and they got legislation passed that said if you don't write homeowners insurance you can't write car insurance.

Having watched "Sicko" not long ago, and having heard of all the reasons given the Katrina victims for their refusal to pay; I have no doubt that exactly the same models Michael Moore outlines in his movie apply to homeowners policies as well.

May your photo therapy work well for you through this; perhaps a phone call to the state insurance commissioner if you have one as well?
