Just say YES...

...to exploring the benefits of wind farms.

There seem to be enough blowhards against this proposal to render it redundant.

wind mill might make a nice tree replacement not that the big tree is gone.

I thought you might like to read this article by a scientist who says perhaps wind farms might NOT be the answer we're all hoping for. Interesting article at the very least anyway.

Geoengineering -- that's some crazy shit! This quote says it best: “It’s the worst possible solution in the world. Except for the alternative.”

...yup...except for the alternative. That's about the scariest statement I've heard in a long time.

Other than when Charlotte says "Mamma Poo Poo" just as we're walking nekkid to take our bath. That scares the bejesus out of me.

I'm totally for wind farms, even though I know they can pose hazards to birds, bats, etc. That said, I'd prefer to see them away from areas where people are living, just in case there are any effects that we're not aware of. If someone put up a farm behind our house I'm sure it would make me crazy -- my FMS makes me so incredibly sensitive that some days I'm overwhelmed by noises, bright lights, etc. I sometimes need to wear ear plugs because there are days I can hear all sorts of white noise droning on... other days I need to stay away from fans because the air current actually hurts my skin. In other words, I do think there might be people who can physically sickened by wind farms nearby.

If someone did put a wind farm behind my house, well, I guess I'd have to just move someplace else. Would the presence of the farm reduce my property values or make it hard for me to sell my home? I don't know. Moving would also be a huge physical burden for me. I know the world can't stop for one person, but we should probably listen to all complaints and concerns in case one day we start to have problems ourselves.
