$%#@&#!!!

For your viewing pleasure, a copy of Ferris' x-ray. Apparently Ferris has fractured a toe. My mom used to break her toes on a regular basis by stubbing them on the piano and other heavy furniture. I seem to recall that there was no need to anesthetize her and affix a fiberglass splint to her foot. With Ferris it's a different story. A very expensive story. Hence the $%#@&#!!!

Oh Poor Ferris!!

What do you have to do to treat it?

Our biggest dog has just had two TPLO operations. I don't know what that stands for but he snapped the cruciate ligaments in both knee's and we had to take hime down to the emergency clinic in Toronto which is a five hour drive each way for us. They did one then the other four weeks later!

Thank God for credit cards. $8400.00 in total!

I lost your link when our computer crashed and I've just managed to find it again.

Bummer! Get well soon, Ferris!

Unfortunately Ferris has fractured a toe, so he is currently being anesthetized and having a fiberglass splint applied. (That was the under-$1000 option; our other choice was $3500 orthopedic surgery.) I sure picked a lousy time to cancel my pet insurance.

Let's hope it heals well. What is the prognosis?

The vet is hopeful that Ferris will heal well, but he may end up with arthritis.
